Every red carpet event comes with an opportunity for brands to create star-studded celebrity partnerships. Opportunities range from premiere parties, charity events, film festivals and the mega events of them all - Awards Season red carpet walks of fame.
In this blog post we share an interview with our agency's CEO and the American Marketing Association on how fashion and accessory brands partner with these celebrities.
This Academy Awards there was a new rule in place - no press could ask female celebrities what they were wearing, and were informed to instead ask about their projects, politics, the environment or other causes dear to their heart.
While this diminished (and will continue to do so in the near future) the televised on-air time value for the fashion houses, brands should not despair. Those in the know still managed to dissect and publicize to the masses who wore what designer, and these PR plugs will continue to make the fashion houses be as fairy dusted, magical and iconic to audiences of all ages as they have in decades past.
And helping make sales happen maybe not now with the all important millennial demographic... but by creating an aspirational fantasy that will yield sales results in the decades to come.
