Why It Is Important To Safeguard Your Plan When Investing In A Celebrity Partnership

Creating outstanding consumer engagement for your brand might be harder than you think. It needs a strong marketing strategy and partnerships to help you get a positive result.  Think about any celebrity brand endorsement that influences your decision to buy something. Let's take footwear as an example.  

Do you believe Lebron James and Michael Jordan serve a big role in influencing aspiring athletes or even average person to use Nike?

And how many of us have used Proactiv acne treatment because Jessica Simpson, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry said so?

Those are just two good examples but not every celebrity endorsement deal has a happy ending. Just like the crises of Paula Deen and Lance Armstrong, celebrity endorsers and their corresponding brands can find themselves in a publicity nightmare through a bad decision or simple oversight.  This happen due to either lack of knowledge or pre-planning.  And in either case, marketers should not avoid investing in a celebrity partnership due to fear of the unknown - because you can safeguard the partnership along the way.
