Posted by Jessica Moore on March 21, 2018 at 8:33 AM

No Dirty Laundry Here, It Must Be A #TideAd

Super Bowl, the time of year large social gatherings huddle around a television set donned in the same colors, boasting a cornucopia of chicken wings, food platters, and ever-flowing alcohol, all with the sole intention of observing their team claim ultimate victory... for some, it's to see the commercials. Yes, you heard me correctly. Commercials.

Though, it must be emphasized these are not just ordinary commercials, these are Super Bowl commercials; a transcendent form of advertising if ever there has been. Posted by Stacy Jones on March 19, 2018 at 2:33 PM

    Why Brands Should Consider DJ's

When one thinks of celebrities, DJ’s are not typically on the top of most brand marketers tongues – unless the brand is a speaker or headphone manufacturer.  Yet brands should reconsider as DJ names are household names to many, and clubs hire them not only to spin music, but for the fact that they are their own club promoter in many senses, drawing giant crowds and attention to their event.  And how many of these have become so successful is based on their fan engagement through social media.

In fact, many DJs have become so big, they can make - or break, an event.  In this blog, Hollywood Branded looks at the highest paid DJ celebrities as listed by Forbes, how much the top 10 DJ's cost to work an event, their overall social media reach and who their brand partners have been.

QSR And Their Love Of Celebrity Endorsements

Major celebrity endorsements are typical for a small handful of brand categories. Why?  Because the celebrity just costs so much, and the brand needs to be running a pretty comprehensive media buy in order to make the millions of dollars invested in the celebrity, payoff across the millions invested in media purchased.

Automotive, big name beverages, insurance companies and fast food companies are some of the biggest purveyors of celebrities for endorsement campaigns.  In this blog, Hollywood Branded looks at current fast food brand advertising campaigns who are using celebrity endorsements to capture the attention of viewers.

In a new advertising campaign, vegan athletes across all types of sports have been brought together in a public service announcement TV :30 commercial and print campaign  to state they do not consume dairy.  Debuted during the Winter Olympics, the campaign is part of the "Switch4Good" movement which was created to respond to claims made by the dairy industry about the benefits of milk.

Directed by Louie Psihoyos, who won an Oscar for Best Documentary with The Cove, the commercial brings together six former Olympic athletes who discuss why they have switched from dairy (and all meat products to a vegan lifestyle), the benefits of having done so, and the impact on their lives. In this blog, Hollywood Branded looks at the Olympic athlete endorsement campaign supporting SwitchForGood's anti-dairy public service announcements.
