Celebs and Makeup and Skincare, Oh My!

What seemingly started with Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics has become an international phenomenon. Now, it seems like there is a different celebrity beauty brand for almost every week of the year, and it’s getting difficult to name a celebrity that DOESN’T have their own beauty brand. While some of these brands are obvious and well known, there are a few that may surprise you!

Some of these brands have been around a while, but some haven’t even launched their first product yet! In this blog, Hollywood Branded shares our curated list of the first 15 (of 45) celebrities and the beauty brands that they own.

1. Alicia Keys - Keys Soulcare

Alicia Keys launched Keys Soulcare this year with the desire to not only nourish the skin, but also the soul and the body. Keys Soulcare sells a variety of natural skin care products, candles, and other self-care products.


2. Ariana Grande - Thank U, Next

Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next is a trademarked beauty brand in the works! Named after her popular song, Thank U, Next, Grande has released the first product - perfume. 


3. Cardi B - to be determined

Cardi B has yet to drop anything more than hints on an upcoming cosmetics brand. She claims to have something coming very soon!


4. Chiquis Rivera - Be Flawless Cosmetics

Be flawless cosmetics was founded in 2016, by Chiquis Rivera and Judi Castro, and offers a variety of makeup essentials including beauty tools. Chiquis is very passionate about every product having a purpose.


5. Christie Brinkley - Christie Brinkley Beauty

Christie Brinkley Beauty has a main focus on anti-aging skin products. She strives to be environmentally conscious with all of her products. Many of her products zero in on sun protection!


6. Cindy Crawford - Meaningful Beauty

Cindy Crawford released Meaningful Beauty in 2005. All of the Meaningful Beauty products are meant to help with anti-aging. Crawford has partnered with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, a renowned anti-aging specialist.


7. Drew Barrymore - Flower Beauty

Drew Barrymore created her care-free cosmetic brand in 2013. Flower Beauty is cruelty-free and has a strong focus on being accessible and fun. Drew says that her brand is about "being the best you, the most joyous you, and the most empowered you." Every product is very affordable, and all available at Walmart!


8. Elle MacPherson - WelleCo

WelleCo was founded in 2014 by Elle MacPherson to provide women with the nutrients they need in order for their bodies to recover from life's demands. WelleCo offers a variety of superfoods and supplements as well as skincare products. 


9. Gwen Stefani - P8NT

Gwen Stefani has reportedly trademarked the name "P8NT" for all things beauty - literally. From the classic lipstick to false nails, and even bubble bath, it seems like Stefani is about to start a beauty empire!


10. Gwyneth Paltrow - Goop

Goop started as a blog/newsletter written by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2008. The brand has now expanded to have its own clothing label, recipes, skincare, travel recommendations, brick and mortar locations, and podcast. Though many people have questioned the soundness of some of the advice that is included in Goop's blog posts, Goop is still going strong and has many loyal fans.


11. Hailey Bieber - Rhode

Hailey Bieber has trademarked the name "Rhode" for her upcoming beauty brand. The brand name is inspired by her middle name - Rhode. Bieber has already collaborated with beauty brands in the past, so she is by no means new to the beauty industry! 


12. Halsey - About-Face

About-Face launched on January 25 of this year by Halsey, and a few of her products sold out very soon after! The brand is all about experimenting and becoming the best version of yourself.


13. Iman - Iman Cosmetics

Iman Cosmetics was founded in 1994! The brand is focused on delivering makeup to women of color at a low price. Iman founded her brand at a time where there were not many options for women of color involving beauty, now she has paved the way for countless companies that champion diversity!


14. Jaclyn Hill - Jaclyn Cosmetics

The initial release of Jaclyn Cosmetics took place in 2019 but was met with much controversy when fans found that the 20 shades of nude lipsticks weren't the quality that they had anticipated. Despite this, Jaclyn has made blushes and highlighters which her fans have enjoyed!


15. Jeffree Star - Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Jeffree Star Cosmetics launched its first products in 2014. Today, the brand has flourished and grown to become extremely successful. Jeffree Star Cosmetics now offers just about every kind of makeup in virtually every color!
