Celebs With (Fresh) Skin In The Game

And then there was skincare. Celebrities everywhere are no longer riding on their endorsements with brands like Neutrogena and Clinique, but instead are working with dermatologists and skin experts to come up with their own unique youth-saving formulas.

What started as a celebrity rush to create makeup lines has only naturally morphed into skincare lines. As we see the trend of caring for you skin target those younger and younger, it's a fitting space for celebrities to get into. In this blog, Hollywood Branded breaks down the hottest celebrity skincare brands launched in 2022 (so far!).

Top Celebrity Skincare Brands Launched in 2022-1

Kim Kardashian - SKKN by Kim

One of the biggest launches of the year so far has got to go to Kim Kardashian with the release of her 9-product collection, SKKN by Kim. Similar to her other product launches, this one included a luxurious PR box gifted to celeb friends and influencers, but for those lucky select few, it also included an influencer-filled dinner at her office and a spa day where professional facialists used all of her products.

Having taken her beauty line, KKW Beauty, offline for the past couple of months, this is said to be her foray back into that world with makeup making its return soon. However, the name KKW Beauty is no longer and now all will be under the SKKN by Kim umbrella.

The products are available at an entire bundle for $575.00, in packs of three assorted products, or for purchase individually. It features her now synonymous nude, Zen esthetic, which she willingly admitted was greatly inspired by advice from her ex-husband, Kanye West.

She told the press that this entire journey began with her psoriasis diagnosis, and dermatologist after dermatologist provided tips and tricks on how to care for it. Her reason for getting into the skincare game was to bring all of that skincare knowledge to affordable, everyday skincare products. The products are packaged in sustainable, recyclable materials with bottles made to be refillable to reduce their impact on the environment.

New Call-to-action

Hailey Bieber - rhode skin

Launching within a week of SKKN by Kim was Hailey Bieber’s stab at a skincare regimen, titled rhode skin (Rhode is her middle name). The line is described as, “A line of curated skincare essentials made with thoughtful intention. Our formulas nourish your skin barrier to instantly give you dewy, delicious skin while improving its look and feel over time.” The supermodel’s dive into skincare is no surprise to anyone who follows her on social media as she’s definitely made it known that she’s passionate about the health of her skin. Often posting skincare routines, tips and tricks, many fans were excited to see her get into this space.

And unlike some of the other celebs on this list, this was Beiber’s first major solo product launch. The model has done many endorsements in years past, but this is the first major brand she launched all on her own, which to some gives this set of products even more merit. It’s the one category that she felt passionate enough about to put all her resources into, AND unlike SKKN’s 9 products, Beiber’s launch was only three products – a gel serum,  moisturizer, and lip treatment that comes in three different colors.

The products are vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free, designed to suit all skin types.

It’s a product line you can also feel good about buying! At least 1% of all sales will be donated to support women and their families via the Rhode Future Foundation.

As you can tell by the “Join the Waitlist” notification on every product, the launch was a big success, with every individual product and bundled package selling out (despite a recent restock!).

The product's neutral aesthetic is similar to SKKN’s and just goes to show that a big element of creating these products is the idea of curating a cool vibe on your bathroom counter. If you ask us, mission accomplished!

Jennifer Lopez - JLo Body by JLo Beauty

Okay so this may not be an entirely new product launch as JLo Beauty launched in 2021, but this IS a new product line launch uniquely geared toward the body as opposed to just the face. In a tease on Instagram, the newlywed said, “We give all this care and attention to the skin on our face, but we sometimes neglect the body. It was important to me to create a skincare routine for the body to address its specific and unique needs, and we started with the booty!” And then without further ado on the star’s 53rd birthday, the lady with one of the most notable bottoms in the world released JLoBody FIRM + FLAUNT Targeted Booty Balm.

When promoting the balm, Lopez shared, “We already have some amazing products targeting tightening and firming for the face, so a product for the body that addressed those same issues was a natural next step for us.” Similar to the other ladies on this list, Lopez gathered an elite team of scientists and chemists to come up with a formulated product that tightens and lifts the toosh while helping to reduce cellulite.

In regards to her inspiration for the product, the actress said, “It was also the body part that our consumers wanted a targeted treatment for, and they couldn't find it on the market," so the star worked to find a solution! It also helps that she has one of the most sought after behinds in the world, so if this works for J Lo, it’ll definitely appeal to others!
