Time To Drink Up
Summer 2021 is just around the corner and you know what that means – warm weather, pool parties, beach days, cocktail parties, and with COVID restrictions loosening across the country, GOING OUT! Can you tell that I am excited?
Now hear me out, what better way to ask your friend who you haven’t seen in a year and half what kind of shot they got – “Did you get Pfizer? Moderna? J&J?” - then over a nice adult beverage. Sure you could indulge over a nice beer or vodka on the rocks, but why not try one of the new, celebrity-owned alcohol brands that have just hit the stores? In this blog, Hollywood Branded discusses 3, new celebrity-owned alcohol brands that have launched just in time for summer!
From The Big Screen To Big Bottles
It seems like every month there is a new alcohol brand hitting the market that is owned by a celebrity or a public figure – but why? Well it’s as easy as saying that! According to Euromonitor International, the premium spirit industry is up $64 billion in the past 5 years. I mean hey, if I had the means to start an alcohol brand in an industry with those types of numbers, I would too.
Celebrities like George Clooney and Ryan Reynolds have had their alcohol creations on the market for the past couple years and have been nothing but successful. Clooney created Casamigos Tequila (one of my favorites) and Reynolds purchased Aviation Gin in 2018 after he fell in love with the taste. Both brands were later sold to alcohol-giant, Diageo, for a combined total of over $1 billion.
But those companies were created years ago, we are talking now, the present, 2021… well drum roll please and get excited because below are the 3 New Celebrity Alcohol Brands that you need to try!

#1: Happy Dad
This alcoholic drink is so new that it just hit the shelves yet! In fact, it officially launched on June 14th and according to their website, it is “The Hard Seltzer Of The Summer.”
Happy Dad was created by viral sensations, Kyle Foregeard and Stephen Deleonardis “SteveWillDoIt,” better known as the NELK Boys. NELK has over 3.9 million followers on Instagram and over 6.58 million subscribers on YouTube.
YouTube videos posted on their channel highlight the lives of the duo and their friends traveling around the world, pranking people, and partying – of course with alcohol. It was only a matter of time before the NELK Boys created their own seltzer.
According to their website, Happy Dad is “better tasting, has the perfect amount of carbonation, and [the drink] has f**king electrolytes.” The biggest difference between Happy Dad and other seltzers on the market is that Happy Dad is produced in regular-style cans. Not the tall, skinny cans that other seltzer beverages use to hold their product. With that in mind, it makes sense that the brand’s slogan is “No More Shitty Skinny Can Bullshit.”
Less than 24 hours after announcing Happy Dad, the Instagram page has over 391,000 followers and has a video featuring Jonathan Cheban, otherwise known as FoodGod.

#2: 818 Tequila
The Kardashian/Jenner clan continues to do it all, as this time, they're expanding into the alcohol industry. Earlier this year, Kendall Jenner released her own tequila brand, 818.
Jenner first announced 818 back on February 16th in an Instagram post which currently has over 6 million likes. Jenner wrote, “for almost 4 years I’ve been on a journey to create the best tasting tequila. after dozens of blind taste tests, trips to our distillery, entering into world tasting competitions anonymously and WINNING ..3.5 years later i think we’ve done it! this is all we’ve been drinking for the last year and I can’t wait for everyone else to get their hands on this to enjoy it as much as we do!"
Just a few months later, with the ease of COVID restrictions, Kendall hosted a launch party on May 21st at The Nice Guy bar in Los Angeles. The event dubbed “Kenny’s Tequila Bar” was a celebrity hotspot with guests like Drake, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown. Of course, the rest of the Kardashian/Jenner family made their appearances.
Kendall, who knows the power of paparazzi photos/videos, has begun to carry bottles of her 818 brand while out and about, which is perhaps her own version of product placement. Jenner also created an 818 Tequila custom truck to drive around Los Angeles to help promote the brand and deliver product to local stores.

#3: Maison No. 9 Rosé
Inspired by his favorite tarot card, the Nine of Swords which represents overcoming daily challenges, Post Malone created a tasty and affordable Rosé brand that had its 2021 launch on April 8th.
According to PR Newswire, the drink was created with the intention to break down stereotypes of who drinks Rosé. The drink was also created with the intention to showcase and highlight Post Malone’s love for the Mediterranean.
The brand has had major success and Post Malone even has expanded the Maison No. 9 brand to include merchandise for consumers to purchase for an additional price.
Maison No. 9’s Instagram has over 191,000 followers and includes “a @postmalone project” in their Instagram bio.

Now It's Time To Soak Up The Sun
A-List celebrities are constantly creating or owning their own alcohol brand as a way to increase their notability and presence across all industries. With celebrity fan bases being so loyal, brands will have no problem selling their product.
The celebrity that owns the brand immediately becomes its “celebrity spokesperson” or “ambassador.” As a result, this automatically increases marketing reach, brand loyalty, and reputability.
Now, you heard it here first, go out and get these 3 new and celebrity-inspired alcohol brands for your next dinner or pool party. If your friends ask where you got them, tell them your friend, Brandon, from Hollywood Branded told you to check them out (oh, and send them the link to this blog – I will appreciate you!)
