Last week, I had the pleasure of representing Hollywood Branded at Social Media Marketing World 2022, along with my colleague Nathan Piland. We had a jam-packed 3 days in sunny San Diego, filled with learning, social media, happy hours, and seminars. We learned so many things and all the classes gave us different tips and tricks to enhance our social media game.

In one of my favorite panels at Social Media World, we learned all about how to tell your story properly from speaker Park Howell. Howell broke down the ABT method (and, but, therefore). The ABT method helps you clarify your story, amplifies your impact, and simplifies your brand and your life! Here are the 3 steps to telling a story using And, But, Therefore:
Using this method can help tell your brand story online and communicate to your customers how you will be the solution to their problems. This can also be used through social media, in captions. A photo tells a thousand words, so use that to your advantage and create a story with every photo you post.
There are more than 2 billion monthly Instagram users, so what is going to make you stand out? Social Media Marketing World had numerous classes and panels on the topic of Instagram. One of my biggest takeaways from the Instagram classes was to focus on creating content that is shareable and savable. In order to create sharable and savable content, you want your content to resonate or speak to others. Instagram stories are non-negotiable and integral when connecting with your community. I learned that you want to educate, entertain and inspire others with your content. Social media and Instagram are NOT about likes, it is all about building your niche community and staying engaged with them. Something to keep in mind is that there are real people with real emotions behind every follower; hone in on those emotions.
Instagram is currently favoring Reels, which means the more Reels the better! Some quick growth hacks for Reels are as follows:
Reels are currently performing 22% better than all other types of content on Instagram. When you share your Reel to stories, the story views also count as your Reel views... the more views the better! A few trends to get ahead of your Reels are as follows:

The main goal for TikTok should be longevity. Yes, we can all have one video that goes viral, but we should want everything to be going viral. TikToks are short and digestible videos and exceed the watch time of both Facebook & YouTube. Consumers are more likely to trust mobile videos, and they are spending a lot of their time on the app. Creating a human connection with your videos is the main key. People want to feel like they are a part of something. Social media is your vehicle for creating human connections. A great place to connect on TikTok is through the comments...do your engagement!
