Sneaker collaborations have been all the rage in recent years as celebrities and fashion brands join forces to create unique and stylish footwear. But what about those celebrity sneaker collabs that have been forgotten about?
From Michael Jordan to Kylie Jenner, we’re taking a look back at the best celebrity sneaker collaborations that you may have forgotten about. In this blog, Hollywood Branded revisits some of the most overlooked and underrated sneaker collaborations that deserve a second chance, from classic designs to unexpected partnerships.
Never - Ending Sneaker Collaborations
Sneaker partnerships have become ubiquitous in the world of fashion and entertainment, with collaborations between brands and celebrities popping up all the time. From Adidas and Kanye West to Puma and Rihanna, these partnerships have not only created unique and sought-after footwear but have also helped to bridge the gap between sports and style. Some of these sneakers are so sought after that they are worth 10s of thousands on the reseller market. However, with so many brand collaborations out there, it's easy to miss some of the most exciting and innovative partnerships. Here are 5 of the best sneaker collabs through the years that you may or may not have heard about.
Drake "OVO" x Jordan 10

Drake is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor who has become one of the biggest names on the planet. He first gained recognition for his role in the television series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" before releasing his debut album Thank Me Later in 2010. In 2015, Drake came out with a limited edition Jordan 10 sneaker collaboration, between Drake's OVO brand and Nike's Jordan brand. The shoes feature a white leather upper with stingray paneling, gold accents, and the OVO owl logo on the sole. Travis Scott may have the hot hand lately when it comes to sneakers, but this clean design is nothing to ignore.
Adidas x Beyonce Ivy Park

In 2020, Adidas and Beyoncé collaborated on 2 Adidas x IVY PARK collections. They included gender-neutral performance gear, apparel with inclusive sizing, footwear and accessories. Beyoncé's inspiration for the collection was finding her park, a place that defines and centers her as an individual, and the collection aimed to celebrate positivity and finding joy amidst conflicts.
My favorite of the collection is this variation of the Adidas Nite Jogger. With a mostly creme and white upper featuring orange and burgundy accents, this sneaker can be pulled off with jeans and sweats alike. The shoe originally released for $160 but can be found for almost double that now on sites such as GOAT and StockX.
Donald Glover x Adidas

Adidas Originals and Donald Glover officially launched "Donald Glover Presents," in 2019, a creative partnership that began in 2018. The collaboration featured a range of new product offerings, including reimagined classic Adidas styles in subtle white canvas. The shoes incorporate deconstructed details such as uneven stitching, inside-out golden eyestays, and custom 3-stripe marks that evoke hand-painting. The collection is inspired by the personal narrative that worn-in sneakers hold the wealth of experiences they bear. The partnership focuses on encouraging people to think about how their stories can be told on their feet, exemplifying what doing your own thing truly looks and feels like. During Coachella in 2019, in which he headlined, Glover airdropped a few of the then unreleased sneakers to lucky fans who could then pick them up and wear them all weekend.

My favorite of the trio is the Continental 80 pictured above. This silhouette first hit the shelves in the late 1980's and remains a hot style today. The simplicity of the colors mixed with the deconstruction give the shoe a rugged look that dirt can only enhance.
Jerry Lorenzo's Fear Of God x Vans

Jerry Lorenzo is an American fashion designer known for his work on the Fear of God label. Fear of God is a luxury streetwear brand that has gained a cult following for its minimalist, yet edgy style. The brand is known for its high-quality materials and attention to detail, and has collaborated with major fashion houses such as Nike and Ermenegildo Zegna. In 2016 and 2017 Jerry Lorenzo and Fear Of God collaborated with Vans. The collab featured a range of skate-inspired footwear and apparel. The collection included high-top and low-top vans in muted tones, with a focus on minimalism and clean lines. Along with the footwear, there was also apparel such as hoodies, T-shirts, and jackets, that focused on oversized silhouettes and streetwear-inspired details.
My high school self will be forever upset that I never got my hands on a pair of these for retail price, as prices have now soared past $1,000 and out of my budget. Nonetheless, I myself would wear almost any and all of the silhouettes released, but the Era 95 DX would have to be my number 1. The colors are simple and they look ready for a summer day by the pool.
Tyler, The Creators GOLF le FLEUR* x Converse

Tyler, The Creator partnered with Converse to release his own iteration of the classic Converse One Star silhouette under his brand Golf le Fleur. The shoes feature bold floral designs, monochromatic suede uppers, and the signature flower-shaped outsole. The Golf le Fleur Converse collaboration debuted in 2017 and has since released several collections in new colorways and styles. The partnership also includes apparel such as graphic tees, pullover hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts, all adorned with the Golf le Fleur branding and Tyler's creative designs. The collection has been praised for its unique and eye-catching designs, and has become a staple in the streetwear community.

I'm not usually one for bright colors, if you can't tell from my other choices, but Tyler clearly disagrees with this collaboration. The above pictured is from the "Industrial Pack" and is my top choice. The colors featured on this pair are bold but not as loud as the other options in the collection. There are an abundance of colors and styles available from Tylers' collaboration with Converse on the resell market, so take a look as there is a vibe for everyone's taste.
